- 謝 玉 謙 ( 1936 - 1990 ) Born September 1st, 1936, Kota Tinggi, Johor, Malaysia. First artist from the Straits Settlements gained a French government scholarship to study art in Paris at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts de Paris, from 1959 - 1961. Awards : Mention Honorable of the “Salon des Indépendants” and “Société des Artistes Français”, Paris.
